The Fall Walleye Migration happens every year and you don’t have to go far! 🍁🎣
Paul just got off the water after an incredible day of fishing with his son Ryan and friend Bubba. The weather was beautiful, and the action was even better!
The Emerald Shiners are migrating up the Rainy River in massive hoards, bringing a hot walleye and sauger bite right to our doorstep. At River Bend Resort and Walleye Inn, you can back your boat out from our docks and start fishing immediately—no long boat rides required! The bite on Lake of the Woods is on fire, and the river is heating up fast.
Don’t just read about the action—come experience it yourself before freeze-up! We still have select weekend and midweek availability, but these spots won’t last long.

We love it when the jumbo perch crash the party! 🎣 We were out chasing walleye and sauger when these beautiful perch showed up.
It makes perfect sense—with fall in full swing, these fish are starting to school up for the massive super migration up the Rainy River. Celestine was absolutely ready for them! 🍁🍂

The walleye are moving in! 🚨🐟

Fish are currently stacking up on the lake side of Lighthouse Gap. They’re following the emerald shiners as the preliminary push up the Rainy River begins.This epic fall migration is easily one of the best times of the year to hook a massive, bucket-list trophy walleye. Keeping the River Bend Resort fleet in top shape with a few minor repairs and routine maintenance.

Guided fishing charter dates are available from September 7 through mid-October. The fall migration on Lake of the Woods and the Rainy River is beginning to take shape, making it a great time to plan your next fishing adventure. Fall Lodging rates begin September 7th.
