The water consumers of Pamlico County Water System are experiencing periods of low pressure and outages in the distribution system on FRIDAY APRIL 17, 2026. Water department staff are aware and are working diligently to get this fixed.
RESIDENTS AT: COWELL LOOP HWY 304 INTERSECTION, CHINCHILLA, WATER STREET AND ANY OTHER ADJACENT ROADS
Therefore, the Pamlico County Water Department advises that when water is restored consumers boil all water used for human consumption (including drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice and washing hands) or use bottled water.
Vigorous boiling for one (1) minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.
This office is strongly urging the water consumers to conserve water whenever possible. This advisory remains in effect until sample results are returned (24-48 hours) and when further written notification is issued.
