Experience the history and excitement of the Beaufort Water Festival!
From July 17th to 26th, Beaufort will come alive with an incredible celebration of all things water-related! This beloved event transforms our beloved town into one of the South's biggest outdoor stages, attracting visitors from across the nation.
Since its inception in July 1956, the Beaufort Water Festival has grown in importance and entertainment value, while remaining a cherished community, non-profit project. The inaugural festival, led by President John Bigbee and Gladys Thompson, featured a parade organized by the Lions Club—a tradition that continues to this day.
Today, over 400 dedicated volunteers and loyal sponsors ensure the festival delivers first-class entertainment at reasonable prices. Whether rain or shine—remember, “rain” is a word we never use during the festival—festivities will proceed with contingency plans in place.
If you're planning to join in on the fun, it's time to secure your stay at the Cuthbert House! Reserve your room today and get ready to experience the Beaufort Water Festival like never before. We can’t wait to welcome you!
