Fred’s!

Fred's General Store on Beech Mtn is a fun place to exlore and pick up groceries, clothes, souvenirs, hardware, w**e and more. Breakfast and lunch in the deli downstairs. Local's favorite since 1979, open 365 days a year. Their motto: "If we don't have it, you don't need it"! At 5,049 elevation, it's the highest general store in the eastern USA. 3.5 miles from downtown Banner Elk. (Oct 3 update: Very sad to report the passing of founder Fred Pfohl this morning.)
