Happy , campers!

This week, we're heading to the Hoosier State’s Land of 101 Lakes. This campground is a lakeside retreat, perfectly positioned off the longest road in the U.S. This is year-round camping at its finest, whether you're here to stay or just passing through.

The amenities list at this campground is long. Like, really long. We're talking four playgrounds, co****le, volleyball, and basketball. A pristine private sandy beach. A dock for fishing and boating. While KOAs offer a consistent basecamp across North America, the landscapes surrounding them are entirely unique. Take, for instance, our northernmost and southernmost campgrounds.

Up near the Arctic Circle, Fairbanks / Chena River KOA in North Pole, Alaska, sits right along the Chena River. It’s the ultimate basecamp for spotting moose and eagles, exploring the tundra, and witnessing the breathtaking Aurora Borealis.

It's time for , campers!

Combine prehistoric finds with all the benefits of modern camping at this week's KOA. Strategically located near Route 191, this campground is the perfect pit stop for Western road trippers.

The campground's variety of RV sites accommodates everyone, from the van lifers to the motorhome enthusiasts. Choose from pull-thru, back-in, or KOA Patio sites and spend less time setting up and more time relaxing. No RV? No problem. Stay in a ultra-comfy Deluxe Cabin or a classic tent site.

The area is known for its abundance of dino finds. Under 20 miles away is Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see over 1,500 fossils on exposed cliff face. Other state parks in the area provide boating and fishing with views of dinosaur tracks along the way. After you've channeled your inner paleontologist, camp is a welcome respite. Challenge your fellow campers to a game of horseshoes or giant jenga, cool off in the pool, or take in a movie under the stars.

🚢🇺🇸 A PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY CRUISED PAST PRIZER POINT TODAY! 🇺🇸🚢

What an incredible treat on the water today! Guests and staff at Prizer Point Marina & Resort had the rare opportunity to watch a living piece of World War II history cruise through the Main Channel of beautiful Lake Barkley! 🌊

⚓ Meet the USS LST-325 — a true WWII veteran!

Built in 1942, LST-325 is a Landing Ship, Tank, designed to transport soldiers, tanks, trucks and military equipment directly onto enemy-held beaches.

🇺🇸 A little history behind this remarkable vessel:

⚓ D-Day, June 6, 1944: LST-325 participated in the historic Normandy invasion, helping support Allied forces during one of the most significant military operations in history.

⚓ World War II Service: The ship served in the Mediterranean and European theaters, transporting vital supplies, vehicles and personnel in support of Allied operations.

⚓ Preserving History: Today, LST-325 is a restored museum ship operated by dedicated volunteers who work to preserve its history and honor the men and women of the Greatest Generation.

⚓ Still Sailing: More than 80 years after its construction, this remarkable vessel continues traveling America’s waterways, bringing history to communities along its route.

❤️ Imagine the stories those steel decks could tell.

There’s something truly special about watching a ship that helped shape world history sail right past our little piece of paradise on Lake Barkley.

Today wasn’t just another beautiful day at Prizer Point. It was a reminder of the courage, sacrifice and extraordinary history that helped shape our nation.
