🚨 Los Rios Campground & Nueces River Update 🌊

Great news—the campground is officially back open! 🎉🥳

The river never quite reached the campground and we made it out unscathed! 🙌🏼🥳

The river is flowing beautifully, and the water is getting clearer every day. This weekend is shaping up to be the perfect time to get out and enjoy it!

Bring your tubes, kayaks, and your sense of adventure. The current is stronger than what we usually get, making for an incredible day on the river.

A big THANK YOU to our amazing staff and team for working quickly and efficiently to get all our guests to safety and the local response team for working so diligently during these last 72 hours.

Over the next few months the river is going to INCREDIBLE. So come on out and see us at Los Rios Campground!! We can't wait to see you! ☀️🛶

River Update 7/18/26

The river is receding! It's been a long couple days and we are happy to see that.

I know many of you are wondering when that means you can come swim again :) I'm afraid it's still a little early to tell, but the conditions are improving rapidly!

Thankfully, the river never made its way across River Road to the campground and our accommodations were unaffected by the flooding. We have begun debris clean up and the campground will be open again on Monday for those that would still like to come.

With that said, we are happy to reschedule any guests with a scheduled arrival for next week (7/20-7/26). We will continue to post regular updates so you can make an informed decision about your stay. And, of course, contact us if you'd like to discuss further.

While I have you here - I wanted to send a HUGE shout out and thank you to our management team, Juan and Siera! They always go above and beyond for all our guests and it's been no different during this major flooding event. The heart and grit of these two is something to be admired. We are so grateful for their efforts and ability to take care of camp. And that goes for all our staff here at Los Rios - just an incredible team of exceptional individuals 🙏

We'd also like to send a special thanks to Dan and the local emergency response team. I'm not sure if they've slept yet. These folks are dedicated to keeping this community safe! And they have done an amazing job once again. Thank yall from the bottom of our hearts.

Good morning, everyone. Just a quick update.

We are still dry, but water has come over River Road, and more water is expected to come downstream. We're continuing to monitor conditions closely, and the campground remains evacuated for everyone's safety.

Our team is actively working through affected reservations and helping guests reschedule. We've contacted almost all guests with arrivals through Saturday, and today we'll begin reaching out to Sunday arrivals.

We sincerely appreciate your patience and grace during this active flooding event. Conditions remain unpredictable, but if your reservation is affected, we will contact you directly. Thank you for your understanding and support 🙏
