Stage location affects the whole layout. 🎶

Stage placement sets the sightlines from every table, the flow onto the dance floor, and the placing of lighting and electricity.

That's why we map the stage into the tent layout from the very first conversation, sized and positioned right alongside the structure. At this Eaton Ranch wedding, a raised band stage anchored one end of our tent with a clear view from every seat.

Tent season doesn't end when the leaves start to turn. 🍂 Fall in the mountains means crisp nights and early sunsets, and a few smart choices keep guests comfortable from cocktail hour to last call:

❄️ Plan for heating. Temperatures drop fast once the sun slips behind the peaks, so ask about our heating options early.
🪟 Keep sidewalls on standby. Clear walls block the wind without blocking the view.
💡 Plan lighting for an earlier sunset. Loop in your lighting team so the tent glows the moment it gets dark.
🧱 Put a floor underneath. A subfloor keeps everyone off cold, damp ground.

When guest counts climb into the hundreds, you'll want to expand more than just the tent size. Consider bar placement that won't cause a bottleneck, plenty of room on the dance floor to boogie, restroom trailer capacity, and room in the back of house where the catering team can move.

We plan for all of the above and then some, right from the first conversation, so your guests will have plenty of space to party.

We know every tenting tip and trick in the book, especially when it comes to tenting in the mountains. Here's a few key pieces of advice:

💃 Other than guest number, don't forget to account for space for the dance floor, stage, bar, other socializing areas, back of house, and catering.
🌦️ Never make assumptions about the weather forecast. Consider our heating or cooling options for maximum guest comfort.
⛺️ Understand what the venue allows for tent set up - such as using stakes, anchors, and other building requirements that may impact their grounds.
📆 Plan ahead of any tent-related requests, not the week before the big day.
