Lake Whitney Ranch - A Light in the Heart of Texas - is a faith-based retreat center and camp owned and operated by the Texas Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. It offers recreation and fellowship on nearly 1,000 acres of Texas countryside, featuring cliffs and lake views. Accommodations include lodges, houses, tents and RV sites suitable for individuals, families and groups. A newly-built open-air pavilion can accommodate 5,000 people, perfect for camporees and club ministries.

Today, we gathered to celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of our Camp Director, Hector Pérez. The day was filled with tears, laughter, heartfelt reflections, and above all, Christ-centered hope as we remembered the impact of Hector’s “dash”—his deeply faithful life journey.

Lake Whitney Ranch is profoundly blessed to be part of his story. His legacy will forever live on through everything we do here. As we move forward, we honor the charge given to us by his lovely daughter: to water the seeds that Héctor sowed.

We find peace in knowing we will one day reunite with our loved ones who have fallen asleep in Jesus. We hold onto the certain truth that we will see Hector there.

Please join us in continued prayer for Anabel and her family, as well as Hector’s sisters and their families during this time.
