Spring weather in Ohio can be unpredictable, and that's okay. Ohio's privately owned campgrounds are experienced at keeping campers safe when the skies get serious.
A few good things to know before your next trip:
βΊ Shelter β Most campgrounds have a designated storm shelter, often the bathhouse or a permanent structure. When you check in, ask your campground host where to go if weather rolls in.
π‘ Utilities β Campgrounds may temporarily shut off electricity and water as a precaution during severe weather. It's routine and it passes. Pack a battery-powered lantern and a gallon or two of drinking water just in case.
π Pack a little extra β A small weather kit goes a long way: flashlight, phone charger bank, bottled water, and any medications you may need.
The best campers are prepared campers, and Ohio's campground owners are right there with you every step of the way.
