Big news. 🙌 The Copper Harbor Trails Club has been awarded a $50,000 grant from Copper Shores Community Recreation Facilities & Resources and it's going straight toward the Montreal Corridor.

For those who've been following along, you know how much this one means to us. The Montreal Corridor is the final 7.5-mile segment that completes the full 30-mile Keweenaw Point Trail loop and it will create the first ever safe, sustainable, permanent public route to Montreal Falls.

🎄Yoopers were represented well in the 2025 "Silver Bells In The City" parade in Lansing tonight, including a drone formation of the UP with a Christmas tree on the eastern part of the peninsula. This year's state Christmas tree comes from the Reid family from Sault Ste. Marie.

With the days getting shorter and leaves falling we will be cutting back our hours so please plan accordingly for fuel and food!! Start doing your snow dances! As soon as the trails get going we will open back up to 7 days a week!

Over the last two days we have had over 80 2nd grade kids from Calumet Schools visiting the mine for a field trip. They decided to be a part of the Delaware Mine Match program and have selected 31 Backpacks as the organization they would like to contribute their admission to. It is great to see kids as young as this embrace the idea of helping out others. If you get a chance, take a visit to their website or page and help the cause. MICHIGAN TECH COACHES SMASH WORLD RECORDS RUNNING ACROSS ISLE ROYALE

Kristen Monahan, assistant Nordic ski coach at MTU, set a record for the fastest known time by a woman on Isle Royale's Greenstone Ridge Trail, completing the 40.6-mile route in 8 hours and 4 minutes—nearly three hours faster than the previous record.

You read that right, 40 miles of trails in eight hours!

Her partner, fellow coach Thomas Smith, achieved the second-fastest men's time as they completed the self-supported challenge, carrying supplies and filtering water along the way. myupnow.com
