Each site includes 30/50amp electric/sewer hookups, picnic tables, & fire rings. We are a pet friendly campground, located near Gatlinburg. Nestled in the heart of the pristine Smoky Mountains in Cosby, Tennessee. Immerse yourself in nature on our immaculate grounds. Open for pets and online booking or call us at 423-353-8450. *Please note bathroom/shower facilities are closed during winter months (Dec-March) to prevent pipe freezing, only EV's with contained units should book during this time.

Historic Courthouse Bell to Toll in Honor of Dolly Parton; County to Observe Moment of Silence at Noon

In honor of Dolly Parton and her extraordinary life and lasting contributions to the people of Sevier County, the 1896 bell atop the historic Sevier County Courthouse will ring a solemn toll today at noon (Wednesday, August 26).

The solemn tolling is being held by Sevier County, the Cities of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg, the Town of Pittman Center, and the Sevier County School System in conjunction with the Day of Mourning proclaimed in honor of Dolly Parton.

The courthouse bell will ring as a tribute to Dolly’s remarkable life, her deep connection to Sevier County, and the profound impact she has had on generations of people throughout the community and around the world.

In honor of Dolly attending and graduating from Sevier County High School, all schools across the county will observe a moment of silence at noon.

Residents and businesses across Sevier County are also asked to observe a moment of silence today at noon in remembrance of Dolly’s remarkable life and to keep her family, friends, and loved ones around the world in their thoughts and prayers.

The five-minute tolling of the 1896 bell will serve as a solemn tribute to Dolly Parton and a reminder of the lasting difference she made in the place she always called home.

🦋 TENNESSEE HAS LOST ONE OF ITS BRIGHTEST LIGHTS 🦋

Today, our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of the incomparable Dolly Parton.

Born and raised in the mountains of East Tennessee, Dolly never forgot where she came from. No matter how brightly her star shone, she carried the Smoky Mountains, her Tennessee roots, her faith and her love for others with her throughout an extraordinary life.

Dolly was so much more than a country music legend. She was a storyteller, a philanthropist, a champion for children and, above all, a beautiful example of kindness and generosity.

For those of us who call East Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains home, her loss feels especially close. She represented so much of what makes this place special — humble beginnings, strong roots, hard work, faith, family and a love for these beautiful mountains.

Her music will play on.
Her kindness will live on.
And her light will forever shine over the Smoky Mountains. 🏔️🤍

Thank you, Dolly, for making Tennessee proud and for giving the world so much of your heart. Rest peacefully, Dolly. 🦋
