If you were headed out to catch those over slot reds today…well…I stayed out of your way😉🎣could only get this under slot red in the boat and got to fight a good sized shark that hit a pinfish.

It’s not all about scalloping this time of year on Florida’s Nature Coast! We have a world-class fishery, and August has been great so far.

The Snook were hungry this morning on the outgoing tide, and even small bull sharks were hammering mud minnows in just 12 inches of water! 🦈🔥

The perfect Nature Coast day? Start with some early-morning fishing, then head to the scallop grounds to cool off and bring home a few gallons of scallops to go with the fish you caught! 🐟🐚

Special shout out to Capt Ashlie for teaming up with. Crystal River Waterfront RV Retreat offering scalloping trips this summer to our guests. The weather didn’t cooperate these past 2 weeks but there are still 6 weeks left. We have lodging available for the next 2 weekends in our new 40ft 5th wheel on a private waterfront lot with a floating dock on the deepest part of the canal system. Bring up to a 28 ft boat or hire Capt Ashlie to get you on those chunky bay scallops.

☀️ What a difference a little sunshine makes!

Happy to see a sunny, breezy morning with an 83° water temperature. The rain has finally slowed down, and the fish were fired up! 🎣

Left the dock at 7:30 a.m. and wrapped it up by 11:00. The Crystal River Redfish were an absolutely beautiful bright, shiny red! Caught several smaller reds along with two perfect 19-inch slot reds before calling it a great morning.
