📚 Let's fill the backpacks! This Thursday at the Damascus Farmers Market, bring a few school supplies to help local students start the year strong. Every notebook, pack of crayons, and pencil makes a difference. ❤️

All supplies collected by the Damascus, Virginia Farmers Market will be handed out on the 30th while supplies last.

Last night at the Virginia Creeper Trail Conservancy meeting, they talked about our beloved Trestle #46!

Below is a rendering of what the new trestle will look like. One exciting addition is that two overlooks are being built nearby, giving visitors a chance to step off the trail and enjoy beautiful side views of the trestle—something we've never had before.

Another special touch: some of the original timbers from the old trestle were carefully saved and will be repurposed into an archway at the beginning of the trail in Whitetop. It's a wonderful way to preserve a piece of the trail's history while welcoming visitors to its next chapter.

It's exciting to see the Virginia Creeper Trail taking shape again while honoring the history that makes it so special.
