At Flora House Denver we celebrate Pride with love and love with Pride!

Not only are we very happy and proud to welcome our amazing, colorful, beautifully diverse family of guests with wide open arms and hearts full of love, we are also very proud to be a registered LGBTQ+ Safe Place with the City and County of Denver.

The program was established by the Denver Police Department in an effort to partner with the community in order to help victims of crime (specifically anti-LGBTQ bias-motivated crimes). And one of its main goals is to build a network of people and places across the city to provide literal physical safe spaces for victims of crime, while they await the arrival of police. You are safe with us!

We celebrate LOVE all year round here at Flora House. But we're especially excited for in Denver! Check out the list of amazing events happening all month, and come celebrate love and Pride with us! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈

It's a picture-perfect beautiful day in Denver!

So it's a perfect day then to introduce a few of the superstars currently performing every day out in the Flora House Garden. Aren't they lovely? Even better, they make for beautiful little bouquets that we put together for each one of our rooms, which our guests absolutely love. Plus the hummingbirds are back! And the garden is happy as ever.

And in addition to the strawberries, we've got cucumbers and two types of tomatoes in the ground that we're really looking forward to harvesting and incorporating into our daily breakfasts again!

Spring is just gorgeous here in the Mile High City! Come see us!

And PS: better help yourself to the strawberries before the bunnies get them!

Sundance officials have spent many days in Colorado over the last couple of years as they scoped out Boulder for the fest’s new home.

The summer movies offer “early opportunities for Colorado audiences to connect with (Sundance’s) legacy of independent storytelling through film, music, and poetry,” Sundance officials said.

Hey Flora Fam! Dusty here, and I’m still buzzing about my latest trip this morning out to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. Check out these pics and you’ll see why!

This was my first photo safari of the spring at the refuge, and I went in hoping to get some shots of the new baby bison calves among the herd there. And while I didn’t see many bison today, I spent hours watching and photographing all the new baby prairie dog pups and their families! As well as lots of beautiful birds and Rocky Mountain views as always.

Love that the refuge is a short 15-20 minute drive from Flora House, and I’m looking forward to my next visit. Come see us and I’ll give you the lowdown and my best tips for this very special place!

Well shucks! This rarely happens, but we sadly had to evict a problematic guest from Flora House this morning.

Actually, we had to capture and evict this adorable little fella because it had found its way into our strawberry patch out in the garden, which had been coming up beautifully this spring until it recently became the main course on the baby bunny buffet. But ain't he so cute? Awwwwww!

Not to worry though! He'll soon have a happy new home inside one of Denver's big, beautiful parks or recreation areas where we'll turn him loose. Sorry little one! We love all our guests, but you can't stay here. 😊
