Purgatory Resort is hosting its annual Oktoberfest at 12pm on September 19, with craft b**r, Bavarian food, live music, and mountain views.

Meanwhile downtown, hit up Durango Arts Center Autumn Arts Festival on September 19 and 20 with 100+ fine arts & fine craft booths, live entertainment, local food booths, and a children’s Creation Station for family friendly activities.

Where to stay in Durango Colorado depends on what your trip actually needs, and for most of our guests, that’s easy trail access and a quiet place to recover.

Adventure Inn is a 27-room basecamp 0.3 miles from the Animas Mountain Trailhead and half a mile from Main Ave. Gear racks are already in the room, so there’s no staging area to deal with. Ask our front desk for trail conditions when you check in — they know Durango better than any app does.
