Always a must visit during May

Mainers—it’s time.

Free Maine Days tickets are now available for one of our favorite weekends at the Gardens.

We’re excited to welcome Maine residents to the Gardens for free on Friday, May 29; Saturday, May 30; and Sunday, May 31. Tickets are first-come, first-served and tend to go quickly, so don’t wait too long to grab yours.

There is a limit of 8 tickets per household; advanced reservations are required, and guests will need to show a valid Maine ID or driver's license upon entry. When reserving online, be sure to select the “Maine Days” event.

We’re incredibly honored to share that Five Gables Inn has been named a finalist in Down East Magazine’s 2026 Best of Maine awards in the Hotel or Resort category.

What started as a historic coastal inn has become something deeply personal for us. Every guest, every returning visitor, every recommendation, every conversation on the porch has helped shape what Five Gables is becoming.

To be recognized alongside so many amazing Maine destinations means a lot to our small team.

Voting officially opens May 12 and runs through June 12. We’ll share details soon, but for now we just wanted to say thank you for supporting an independent inn on the coast of Maine.
