As Heflen Park winds down the camping season, please plan to visit our "Camp-or-Treat" event on Saturday, October 24th from 5:30 - 8 p.m. A safe, kid friendly event for all families to enjoy.

Heflen Park will be opening today (8/19) starting at Noon. Camper sites will be open, BUT NO tent camping this weekend due to high water in the tent site area.

We’re closing Heflen Park due high water along the Driftwood River and the continued threat of rain on Thursday. At this time, we have no timetable on when we’ll reopen the park.

** UPDATE - TREE HAS BEEN REMOVED AND ROAD is NOW PASSABLE **
Attention Heflen campers: We currently have a tree down just inside the main entrance at Heflen Park. Crews have been notified. The tree is passable for cars, but could be an issue with a truck pulling camper trying to go around the tree. Please be patient, we're doing the best we can to get it removed. Thank you.

Meet the newest members of our Safety Team: Ricky, Denny, and Chucky!

Their mission is simple: help remind everyone to slow down and keep our Heflen campground safe. With kids playing, families enjoying the outdoors, and Rita's Ice Cream making her rounds, there's plenty of activity happening throughout the park.

Please do your part by driving slowly and carefully—and be sure to say "Hi!" to Ricky, Denny, and Chucky when you see them on patrol! WHY BE IN A HURRY - ENJOY THE SCENERY! PLEASE SLOW DOWN!

Attention Heflen Park Campers: We are pleased to announce the opening of Heflen Park at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 23rd, for full-service camping. Please note that tent camping will be unavailable this weekend. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to welcoming you.

Please be advised that Owens Bend will remain closed until further notice.

Water Update: We anticipate providing an update regarding the status of Heflen Park by 6:00 p.m. this evening.

Water Update: We are continuously monitoring the water situation at Heflen Park. The Driftwood River is expected to crest at 12.4 feet this afternoon (Thursday). Additional rainfall is anticipated from Friday afternoon through the holiday weekend, which could extend the duration of the flooding and raise crest levels for downstream areas. Unfortunately, opening Heflen Park this Memorial Day weekend is looking very iffy at the moment. We will provide updates if the situation changes. Sorry campers!
