The Griswold Inn was the first 3-story wooden structure built in Connecticut! This image was taken by an unknown photographer - 1865. Zoom in and you'll note it says "GRISWOLD HOUSE" across the second-floor balcony. The sign, along with the original photo, can be found in our Covered Bridge Dining Room. 😊
