Get away from the city and still be close to all the hot spots. The award winning Prairie Guest House provides planning services for weddings, private celebrations and corporate events. You'll have delicious locally grown food, a wonderful nights sleep and we also have a yoga studio on site. Our beautiful farm like setting is located on two acres in Hamilton County Indiana. With luscious gardens, large native Indiana trees and our very own historic barn, we take you back to a simpler time where you can breath and slow down. The mid 1800’s gothic farmhouse has ample guest rooms each with their own bath and common areas. The early 1900’s cottage houses the kitchen and dinning areas with a sun room and a fireplace that will warm you. We're also honored to have one of the best yoga instructors in the area at the Prairie Yoga Studio is just across the courtyard from your guest room. We're located directly north of downtown Indianapolis in the lovely Hamilton County with an easy thirty to forty minute drive.

Did you know you can bring your whole family to the Headless Horseman Festival at Conner Prairie without ever seeing the Headless Horseman? 🎃

If your little ones aren’t into the scary stuff, there’s still SO much fall fun to enjoy! Arrive when the festival opens at 5 PM and spend the early evening exploring:

The man, the myth, the legend, the main event: the headless horseman himself! You know where to find him!

Find spooky ringmaster Hugo Egress leading the way into the Haunted Trail corn maze.

Brom Bones, rival to schoolmaster Ichabod Crane and Legend of Sleepy Hollow spooky tale-teller can be found while waiting in line for the Headless Horseman’s hayride.

These are no ordinary pumpkins. They will be singing spooky welcome tunes all night near the barrel train ride.

Find your home base for all the Headless Horseman haunts, Prairie Guest House is the cozy historic bed and breakfast located just across the street (Allisonville Rd) from Conner Prairie. From haunted hayrides and corn mazes to delicious carmel apples, puppet shows, and literal fire breathers, there’s a little something for everyone — whether you’re coming for the scares or the fall family fun.

And the best Headless Horseman insider tip? Prairie Guest House is just a spooky stroll across the street. 🏡 The perfect place to rest your head… if you still have it. 😉

Ever heard of a cookie exchange? This is that, but with cake. Want to host your own Cake Social? Here’s the blueprint:

1️⃣ Pick a date + invite your bakers
2️⃣ Decide how many cakes you want (this one had 17!)
3️⃣ Set the ticket price (this one was $20)
4️⃣ Everyone bakes a cake + brings it to the party
5️⃣ Split your bakers into two groups to keep the cake line moving
6️⃣ Give everyone a pizza box
7️⃣ Take a slice of EVERY cake
8️⃣ Go home with approximately 10 lbs of cake 😂

No age limit. No complicated rules. Just an excuse to get people together and eat a truly unreasonable amount of cake.
