🎓Graduation celebrations are some of our favorites—and Rebekah’s was one to remember.

Last weekend we had the joy of hosting gorgeous graduate rebekah owen as she celebrated her graduation from Guerin Catholic before heading off to Purdue University this fall. 🚂🖤💛

From her beautiful floral dress that perfectly complemented our light and airy studio space to the stunning red-and-pink balloon photo backdrop and memory-filled photo board, every detail reflected her vibrant personality.

As Prairie Guest House neighbors, the Owen family didn’t have far to travel—they simply walked over from their backyard to celebrate this exciting milestone with loved ones. And while the afternoon began with rain, everyone stayed dry and comfortable inside the studio as the storm passed.

Congratulations, Rebekah! We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish at Purdue. ❤️🎓

With three golf courses within five miles of Prairie Guest House, it’s no wonder we welcome so many golf getaway guests each season. ⛳️

This week, we had some extra-special golfers stay with us: Chase and Courtney, who traveled up from Evansville to cheer on their son, Reed, at the IHSAA Boys State Golf Finals at Prairie View Golf Club. 🏆

Making it to the State Finals is an incredible accomplishment, and we’re honored that Prairie Guest House could be part of your championship week.

Good luck to Reed as he competes among Indiana’s best golfers! We’re cheering you on and wishing you a fantastic tournament.

🍳 Food has a way of bringing people together.

That’s one of the reasons we absolutely love FOOD: Science, Culture, and Cuisine, the brand-new traveling exhibit now open across the street at Conner Prairie.

This isn’t a typical museum exhibit. You’ll race against the clock in hands-on kitchen challenges like whisking, rolling dough, and mastering mandoline slicing. Test your senses with smell-identification stations—including an herb that only about half of people in France can detect. Sample different dark chocolates, explore global food traditions, and step into one of the most visually stunning immersive banquet experiences we’ve seen.

The exhibit explores how food connects science, culture, agriculture, family traditions, and communities around the world—and it’s designed to engage all five senses along the way.

As bed and breakfast innkeepers, we couldn’t help but appreciate the exhibit’s central message. Some of life’s best conversations and memories happen around food. Whether it’s gathering around a table at home, sharing breakfast with loved ones, or discovering new culinary traditions together, food has a unique way of bringing people closer.

Did you know there are 3 golf courses within 5 miles of Prairie Guest House? ⛳️

Plan a long weekend and play all three — each one has a completely different feel, and all are open to the public.

River Glen is the closest (only 5 min away!) and is known for its tree-lined fairways and water features throughout the course. Tip: accuracy off the tee matters more here than distance.

Prairie View offers a links-style layout with open fairways and fast greens that can play especially tough on windy days. Bring an extra layer for early morning rounds — there’s very little tree cover.

Plum Creek is a favorite for its rolling layout and forgiving play for mixed-skill groups. Tip: stay below the hole on approach shots — the greens can get quick.

A perfect golf weekend itinerary? Thursday arrival, Friday at River Glen, Saturday at Prairie View, Sunday morning round at Plum Creek before heading home.
