⚠️ Travel Advisory for Kalaloch Visitors ⚠️

WSDOT has announced temporary closures of the US 101 Hoh River Bridge this fall for emergency repairs.

✅ Kalaloch Lodge remains accessible from the south throughout all closure periods.

If you're traveling from the north, including Forks or Port Angeles, please plan ahead. Full bridge closures from September 24-29, October 1-6, and October 8-13 will require a detour via Hood Canal that may add approximately four hours to your drive.

For the latest information, please visit the Washington State Department of Transportation website. We're looking forward to welcoming you to the Olympic Coast.

Along the Kalaloch coastline, the Pacific is always at work.

Waves, wind and tides continually reshape the shore, carving cliffs, moving driftwood and revealing a landscape that never stays exactly the same.

At low tide, another world appears.
Tide pools reveal sea stars, anemones and other marine life living in the narrow space between land and ocean.
Then the tide returns, and much of it disappears again.

Even some of Kalaloch’s most recognizable landmarks tell the story of change.
The famous Tree of Life still clings to the bluff, its exposed roots suspended above a landscape shaped by erosion.

Here, the story is never finished.
With every wave and every tide, the Pacific keeps writing the next chapter.
Come write your own Kalaloch tale!
