The unofficial mayor of Hobbs & Rose has arrived again… 💙🐦

Our resident blue jay spent the morning announcing himself from the garden like he owns the place — loudly supervising the ducks, inspecting the bird feeders, and making sure everyone knows he is, in fact, the main character. 😂

Blue jays may be bold, but they’re also incredibly intelligent and fiercely loyal to their families, which somehow feels fitting here at Hobbs & Rose.

There’s something about watching the birds in the gardens that slows everything down for a moment. The breeze through the trees, the sound of gravel under your feet, coffee in hand, and nature carrying on around you. 🌿

These are the little moments we never want to rush through.

🌿 A little unexpected opening at Hobbs & Rose Cottage… and we would absolutely love to welcome someone into this peaceful little corner of the world.

Due to a recent cancellation, July 9–12 is now available on Airbnb — and these are the ONLY remaining open dates we have until the end of August. We are so incredibly grateful for the love and support this little cottage and gardens continue to receive. 🤍

If your soul could use a quiet escape filled with winding garden paths, birdsong, morning coffee under the trees, and slow summer evenings beneath the string lights… this may be your sign.

The temperatures may be climbing this week at Hobbs & Rose Cottage, but thankfully Chrissy is showing us all how to handle it gracefully. 🦆☀️

She’s been keeping cool in the shade, waddling through the gardens without a care in the world, and honestly… we should probably all take notes. 😊

One of my favorite things about this little place is how nature seems to slow everyone down. Between the birds singing, the gardens blooming, and our ducks providing daily entertainment, there’s always a reminder to pause and enjoy the moment.

Chrissy’s advice for the week:

🪴 Spend time outside
💛 Don’t take life too seriously
