Happy Halloween from The Nicholson Inn! We figured our costumes would be fitting for a bed and breakfast. Mojo had the best time of all with trick or treaters coming up to pet and play with him.

What a day for and a cool drink! Our guests continuing on with their adventure after an impromptu stay with us last night. Perfect occasion to crack mocktails before hitting the road again. Surprising how much they taste like the real deal…

Brisk Fall weather earlier this week had us play around with cozy hot drinks. Our Portland Fog uses Earl Gray, a bit of local honey, vanilla paste, full fat oat milk steamed with maple syrup and some powdered vanilla bean on top.

Perfect evening for home baked chocolate chip, walnut, cranberry sandies. Best part is the whole inn smelling like the holidays!

Experimenting with some new amuse bouche options. These little sweet tomatoes are stuffed with basil wrapped small mozzarella balls, a drop of olive oil, balsamic, and sea salt and roasted. When cooled they are like mini reverse caprese salad bites.

In CT for our grandson’s second birthday. He loves his sourced lobster socks, and his first outing on the LI sound via Miles REALLY enjoys his breakfasts so we not only found some great local options like this breakfast sammy at .westport but made lots of hearty breakfasts at home this week with our favorite cast iron skillet, too!

After a busy Labor Day weekend and some midweek guests, we are ready for the next wave coming in for this beautiful Maine September weather. New reading lamps in Chestnut, Rowan and Silver Birch are in place above the beds for cozy nights with a good book. All the great shops, and restaurants are just steps away and open for business as we head towards the holidays🎃🦃🎄🕎

Nothing like a rustic BLT on the porch on a beautiful morning. Delicious rosemary sourdough, lightly toasted, with local heirloom tomato from the Falmouth farmer’s market and double smoked bacon.

A welcome morning out after serving breakfast to our own guests to catch up on non-inn work and enjoy some of our favorite breakfast sandwiches. .bistro makes their own bagels and offers such a relaxing atmosphere. Dinners here are very special, as well, especially when they are making their Kentucky Butter Cake dessert!
