The last cabin, and the one that is currently being worked on is "The Bunkhouse". This cabin will hold 4 full sized beds on each end, have two bathrooms and a common area that will include a full sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.

I'm still trying to decide how to decorate this one. I keep thinking, if I go to enough flea markets, it will come to me....the hunt continues.😏

The third little cabin's name is "Old Timer". Scott named this one. The backsplash in the kitchen is made out of old yardsticks that I collected for a while. We also finished this one with old light fixtures that I have collected over the years, not knowing for sure where we would use them. Guess we know now. 😊😊😊😊

We plan to add "fireplaces" inside the mantels; those will come with time. Grills and outdoor seating are also on the list. Tomorrow I will tell you about the last cabin we are working on. "The Bunkhouse" and some other plans we have in mind.

Shady Rest is the name given to this cabin. It's the middle little cabin. Each cabin has a queen-sized bed and a full-size sofa bed. They all have kitchenettes that include a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, and a Keurig. Wifi and 55" tv's are also in all of them.

A quick story about the pitcher vase in these photos. I flea market....A LOT. While browsing a market in Chanute, I noticed this pitcher. I picked it up and looked at the bottom, and what do you know, it was signed by E. Troyer 1977. That is my mother-in-law. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, and of course I brought it home with me for $5.00. My mother-in-law did a lot of craft shows, and tole-painted this, long before I knew her.

The three little cabins are ready! We had the pleasure of welcoming our 1st venue customer to the cabins this weekend. Final photos were taken for the website last week by my daughter Jeri Troyer Photography. I am sharing a few here of the cabin named "Old Glory". Stay tuned for pictures of the other two.

We are still working on The Bunkhouse. It's getting sheetrock this week.

Our couches will be in in a few weeks. Each of the little cabins will have Queen beds and full size couches with a hideaway bed. We are excited to be so close to having these ready for short term rentals.

The bunkhouse is still in construction. It will have 4 full sized beds on each end with two bathrooms and a common area with a fridge, microwave, the essentials.

A Yardstick backsplash has been installed in one of the cabins. I have hunted these for a while now. I made sure I only bought Kansas businesses and even found several Garnett businesses. Thanks to Denis Wiesner for making it happen. I love it.

My girls and I have, and still are, looking for the perfect decorations for the cabins. This weekend we started decorating "Old Glory". It's so fun bringing things to life. We still have a lot of details to finish up, but we are getting there. Hope you enjoy watching.

We are still working on the first three "little cabins". If I have learned anything, it's to be patient, when progress seems slow. In the end, we will have the look that we had envisioned. Troyer's Prairie Gold, Inc.

This week, beds were ordered and flooring is being installed. We still have one of the little cabins to paint. The septic was installed for the Bunkhouse this week also. Enjoy!
