Why Design Consultations Matter ✨

One of my favorite parts of what I do isn’t designing flowers…

It’s helping my couples see things they can’t always visualize from a Pinterest board or floor plan.

Yesterday I met with one of my 2026 brides for a venue walkthrough. As we stood in her reception space together, I quickly realized the original plan of simple bud vases on the large guest tables wasn’t going to create the impact she was hoping for.

Could we have left it alone?

Absolutely.

But my job isn’t just to deliver flowers.

My job is to make sure my brides walk into their reception and feel completely blown away.

So we talked through the space, discussed guest sightlines, table sizes, and overall room balance. I created a floral mockup to demonstrate how adding larger focal florals would transform the room.

The moment she saw it, everything clicked.

She trusted the vision because she could finally see the difference between “decorating tables” and intentionally designing an experience.

That’s the benefit of working with a full-service floral designer.

I don’t just rent pretty flowers.

I help guide design decisions, offer honest feedback, and make recommendations based on what will actually create the most beautiful result for your wedding day.

Sometimes that means telling a bride exactly what she wants to hear.

Sometimes it means gently telling her she may be underwhelmed with her original plan.

Either way, my goal is always the same:

✨ Sometimes the smallest weddings create the biggest memories. ✨

Last week, we had the honor of being part of an intimate micro wedding at Chapel Dulcinea with just 20 of the couple’s closest family and friends. The bride chose one of our urn sets, and we customized the florals to perfectly coordinate with her soft, romantic wedding colors.

The result? Pure magic. 💙🩷🤍

One of my favorite moments of the day wasn’t during the ceremony—it was overhearing the photographer rave about how beautiful the flowers were. When the bride mentioned they were faux florals, the photographer’s response was, “No way!” and immediately walked over to touch them herself. 😊

Today’s complimentary consultation was such a fun one 🤍

I had the pleasure of meeting with a sweet 2027 bride-to-be and her mom to begin designing her dream wedding florals. Before our consult, she shared her Pinterest inspiration board along with my Lavish Floral Checklist, which allowed me to fully customize our meeting and begin bringing her vision to life before she even walked through the door.
