The warm summer is here and the Inn is in full swing with new clients along with our repeat customers who visit us nearly every season. We are thankful for the good rain we got here today, as much moisture as we have had this spring, more is always better when you're in the resort business. We still have some weekday openings if you have children, it's a good time to float the river, and we offer weekly rates. and the Carriage House is always popular for the families. We do still have several weekends open for the season but this time of year they start going fast, so please call if you want to get on the calendar. Also, check out the new wall and garden gate. Will did a fabulous job on it!

We were also blessed to have made friends with Carolyn and Dennis from Flower and Bone productions out of Dallas and especially honored for them to want to come and spend personal time with us at Christmas when Casey and her family was here. The granddaughters were here on one of the times that Dennis and Carolyn were passing through from one of their dinner theatres so it was a real treat for all of us to be together again for the Holidays. Carolyn has appeared on Prison Break, the Eye of God, as Hal Holbrooks wife and has a small part in the new movie "Manglehorn" with Al Pachino and Holly Hunter. It has been an interesting year of making new friends, along with reconnecting with our repetitive guest, that have been visiting from the first year.

I posted this last evening and for some reason, it disappeared so here it is again. The CBS 48 hour "Lived to Tell" episode will air this evening at 9 pm on channel 7. The film crew stayed with us in August, as they were filming in Noel at the Rendezvous room at River Ranch. They were going to film here, but the big equipment didn't fit our lobby. I went down and met the producers from NYC and I thought it was so interesting that their CBS office is located on the west side of New York in an old dairy barn. Anyway, it was one of the highlights of hosting the film crew along with Ty Power.

Here's a sneak peak of the fabulous kitchen at our affiliate Bed and Breakfast, Cavern Inn. I wanted to let everyone know that the Christmas open house will be Sunday, November 23 from 1-5. Haven't you always wanted to see this great old 100 year old home? Now you can. For all of you Downton Abbey fans, the kitchen has copper in it and feels like a true old world farm kitchen that graces the whole back of the house with windows overlooking the pond in front of Bluff Dwellers Cave. Please join us for the unveiling of the renovation. We will have refreshments and door prizes along with a drawing of a free night.
