A superb location 60 miles southwest of Denver in the heart of Pike National Forest and the Mt. Our ranch is unique in its location. The remote high mountains that surround us offer not only spectacular scenery but, in addition, contain a wealth of unspoiled history

. Come enjoy beautiful riding for all ages, excellent dining, fun family activities and outstanding programs for babies through teenagers. And for folks who are after the perfect setting to host an unforgettable family trip or a family reunion we offer the best in multigenerational travel paired with the highest level of service, hospitality and comfort. Tumbling River offers outstanding facilities, with a selection of cabins with fireplaces and private baths, and two historic lodges with spacious rooms and suites, plus a swimming pool, hot tubs, and much more...

Activities for family members include a variety of scenic riding options (all-day, half-day, arena work and our unique overnight pack-trip). Other ranch activities include relaxing in our heated pool or one of our two hot tubs, fishing in our stocked trout ponds (or great fly-fishing), trap shooting, hiking to 12, 200 ft., listening to cowboy music around a camp fire, enjoying excellent meals, square dancing and watching kids have the time of their lives in our well-known programs for babies (we are one of the only ranches that offers a nanny program), kids and teens...just to name a few. Our interior designer, Nicole from , worked for 18 months to develop a custom product line for Tumbling River Ranch — and one of our favorite examples is this chair with its embroidered western flair.

Nicole prioritized suppliers with sustainable and socially responsible practices. This chair, for example, was handcrafted using age-old techniques by a supplier that employs over 5,000 artisans in cottage-industry settings — offering meaningful employment and helping keep heritage craft skills alive.

Celebrating the 80-year history of Tumbling River Ranch could not be done without honoring Scott and Megan Dugan. They were instrumental in bringing the ranch into the 21st Century. We are so grateful for them and have named one of our new suites in their name.

Celebrating the 80-year legacy of Tumbling River Ranch. One of our new luxury suites is named after the Gordon family. In 1975, James and Mary Dale took the reins from the Keyes family and poured their heart into the ranch for decades to come.
