Today, on National Family-Owned Business Day, we're celebrating the family behind Harris Vacations and the legacy they've built.
In 1983, Steve and Becky Harris purchased a small beach cottage in Fort Morgan called Catalina—a home we still proudly manage today. What began with one property and a passion for hospitality has grown into a family business rooted in hard work and trusted relationships.
After growing up alongside the business, Brian Harris took the reins and helped grow the company from just 17 vacation homes to more than 178 properties along Alabama's Gulf Coast.
While much has changed over the past 43 years, one thing hasn't: our dedication to homeowners, our care for every guest, and the personal service that only a family-owned business can provide. As we've grown, we've never stopped learning, improving, and finding new ways to serve our owners, guests, and team - because we believe there's always room to get better.
To our owners, guests, partners, and team members - thank you for being part of our story. We're honored to continue building on the foundation Steve and Becky started more than four decades ago.
