We're delighted to welcome guests to the resort beginning on Thursday, October 15, 2026, and whether this is your first visit or your fifteenth, our ʻohana is ready for you.

Every suite open for your stay has been carefully checked to our standards for safety, cleanliness, and comfort. Roads to the resort will be cleared and open by October 15. Before you travel, please give our front office team a call at (808) 826-6235. They will confirm your reservation and gladly answer any questions.

GAIA restaurant, Hanalei Day Spa, and NaPali Coffee House will be open for you. Most of Hanalei's restaurants are already serving guests, and more will reopen in the coming weeks.

Repairs continue on several buildings damaged by Hurricane Lowell, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You may hear some construction during those hours. Mahalo for your patience while we finish.

Our neighbors along the North Shore are still cleaning up, too. Please give crews room to work, honor posted closures, and share a little extra aloha with the residents and businesses still recovering.

If Hanalei has been calling you, come. A meal at a local restaurant or a stop at a neighborhood shop helps the people who make this place so special.

Our hearts are with our North Shore community as Kauaʻi begins recovering from Hurricane Lowell. We are grateful to share that all of our guests and employees are safe and accounted for. Guests who were with us during the storm remained safely at the resort until they were able to leave the area.

Hanalei Colony Resort will remain closed for the coming weeks while we assess the property, restore essential services, and prepare to safely welcome guests back. We do not yet have a reopening date and will share updates here as recovery progresses.

North Shore access also remains affected by storm damage and ongoing recovery work. If you have an upcoming reservation, please do not travel to the resort unless you have received confirmation from us that we have reopened.

Guests whose stays are affected by the closure will have the option to receive a refund or rebook for a future stay. If you booked through a third party, we will share the cancellation and refund process for your reservation. Our team will reach out to affected guests as soon as reliable internet is restored. In the meantime, the best way to reach us is by email at [email protected]. Because internet and phone service remain unreliable, our response may be delayed.
