We attended national night out on Tuesday Aug 4th. We met so many great people in the community. We brought my signature cheeseball, baked goods and had a raffle for a live drawling I will be holding on Facebook next week. One lucky winner in the community will receive one free small event ticket at the manor. Rose and I took a small break to ride the hot air balloon:)

Meet Donnie and Tami — two of our favorite people to walk through the manor door so far. 🌹🎸

They checked in Saturday night on their way to the Guns N' Roses concert, and what we thought would be a quick overnight turned into one of those visits where you look up and realize hours have gone by swapping travel stories and you are genuinely sad when it is time to say goodbye. Donnie is a DJ, and somewhere along the way he put together a song about the Manor that honestly might be our new favorite thing to exist. We are still smiling about it.

This is the part of running a bed and breakfast that nobody really prepares you for — that some guests just walk in and immediately feel like people you were supposed to meet. Donnie and Tami were exactly that, and we are already looking forward to seeing them again. 🌹

This past week we had the pleasure of hosting Megan and her three kids while they spent the week at Hersheypark. Her parents Bethanne and Jim stayed for two nights, and her friend Lauren brought her family along for one. What started as a few separate bookings turned into a really wonderful week of good conversation, lots of laughter, and so many great chats over morning coffee.

That is the part of this job we did not expect when we started — the connections. The people who sit down at the breakfast table and end up feeling like family by the time they check out. Pictured here are Bethanne and Jim doing exactly that, and we are so glad we got to share that time with all of them.
