A Quick Update from Beaumont Inn

Old Owl Tavern and Owl's Nest at Beaumont Inn will be closed for dinner service tonight as we make some adjustments to the cooling units in our kitchen.

Taking care of our historic property also means making sure the spaces behind the scenes are working as they should — especially for the comfort and well-being of the team that takes such great care of our guests.

We appreciate your understanding and patience while we take care of this work.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow and look forward to welcoming you to The Old Owl Tavern and Owl’s Nest for dinner service!

Thank you, as always, for supporting Beaumont Inn. 💙

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Breakfast at Beaumont Inn is changing 🍳

Over the past several months, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming so many of you to our weekend breakfast buffet.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us, shared a table, and — just as importantly — shared your feedback.

And we’ve been listening.

What we’ve heard most often is that while you love having breakfast at Beaumont Inn, a breakfast buffet isn’t the most ideal option so early in the morning.

So, we’re retiring our breakfast buffet and introducing a new made-to-order breakfast menu, served 7:30–9:30 AM and open to everyone — overnight guests and our local community alike.

Instead of a one-size-fits-all buffet, you’ll be able to sit down and order the breakfast you actually want, freshly prepared from our menu.

And this change gives us room to have a little more fun, too.

We’ve heard your requests for things like brunch, special breakfast events, and even the occasional breakfast-for-dinner — and those are exactly the kinds of experiences we’d love to explore as we continue shaping what dining at Beaumont Inn looks like.

Running the breakfast buffet has been a wonderful experience, and we’re thankful to every person who supported it. But part of being a place that belongs to its community is being willing to listen when that community tells you what it wants.

So this isn’t goodbye to breakfast at Beaumont Inn.

It’s simply a new way to enjoy it.

We look forward to having you at the table.

Beaumont Inn is a place you feel. It's in the vintage Parisian lace at the windows, the piano that's filled these parlors with music for generations, the memory of a brass band and a two-step on a summer evening, and the golden light that falls across 180 years of polished wood every afternoon. Come see it in person - a photo never quite catches it. BeaumontInn.com

Goddard Hall carries the name of the woman who saved this place - Annie Bell Goddard, the alumna who bought back her old college in 1917 and turned it into an inn. Her desk still sits within our walls, a quiet monument to the woman who refused to let history disappear. Today, Goddard Hall's ten porch-wrapped rooms carry her legacy forward - and welcome you to be part of it. BeaumontInn.com/stay

It's here - buffet day. The Main Dining Room is set, the fried chicken is going, and the bread pudding with bourbon sauce is worth saving room for. Two seatings today, 11:30 and 12:15, reservations only. If you booked, we'll see you soon. If you didn't, call 859-734-3381 and cross your fingers - a seat may still be waiting. The table's ready.

Doing the Bourbon Trail? Do it the smart way - sleep where the bourbon lives.

Beaumont Inn is an official Bourbon Trail stop, minutes from the distilleries, with 100+ whiskeys of our own at the Old Owl Tavern and a two-year-ham breakfast waiting in the morning.

Park once, unwind completely.

Guess who’s number 2 😄

Even though ownership has changed— the traditions will continue to stay the same.

Grateful for previous leadership who maintained the historic value of the inn, and created such deep connection with our local community.

We’re honored to be able to further the legacy of the historic Beaumont Inn

Thanks so much to Explore Kentucky for the feature

Somewhere across Kentucky there are eleven kitchens where the recipe has outlasted the people who wrote it and everyone who doubted it.

Here's something most restaurants can't say: the country ham on your plate has been aging in our own house for two full years. We use Meacham hams and bring them to maturity slowly, the same way five generations of our family have done it. It's the dish Duncan Hines drove across the state for in 1949 - and it still tastes like patience. Taste the difference at your next visit. BeaumontInn.com/dining
