Carmelita is available for adoption at and I’m gonna need one of you to give her a home with visitation rights for Joe and I. This skinny little girl appeared in our driveway a few months ago, probably somehow related to Sonny the kitten we took in last fall, timid at first but one day she heard about our stellar reputation in the stray cat and opossum feeding community and decided to give us a chance. She was almost instantly a perfect little lap cat purr machine. She would’ve had a home with us if not for Willie, who has seniority and has made his “no more cats” wishes very clear. She is the sweetest little thing and will make someone very happy, her adoption is sponsored so she is fee-free to a great home. You know you want her. Look at that face, and those crazy old man ear hairs 🖤

New(ish) things in the shop – I haven't done New Things in The Shop for a couple weeks, it's been a bit crazy around here, and, you know, the world is doing what it's doing. We have lots of new ceramics including these adorable animals from , restocked hotel and railroad silver, other interesting one of a kind pieces like that copper poultry trophy with deer antler handles, fully restocked the tinned fish and snack selection, and some of my favorite totes and tea towels from just arrived this afternoon

For the next month or so we're featuring antique & vintage railroad silver! Silver serving pieces of all varieties from water pitchers to champagne buckets to Stilton cheese scoops to mustard pots to trays, bowls, and teapots of all sizes. Over 60 pieces are in the store now and there are a few dozen more waiting to be cleaned & polished next week... **ttogetheramtrak

A true glow up, covered head to toe in dirt, rust, and old tin when we found it. A (now) beautiful antique circa early 1900s copper pot with iron handle and tin lining, made by Duparquet, marked for use by both the B&O railroad and Cafe Savarin in NYC!

I've been informed that today our little shop is officially starting its ninth year! When Joe and I moved upstate we had never worked together or even lived together, much less run a business together. But somehow we did it, and we got married and expanded the shop and it all still feels like some kind of magic trick that we're here. Thank you to all the customers and neighbors and friends who made this possible 🖤🖤🖤
