COME... vacation at Nelson's Cottages, a family oriented vacation resort in operation since 1950. We're located on scenic Fourth Lake, within walking distance of the small Adirondack community of Inlet, located 10 miles north of Old Forge. STAY... in clean and comfortable Housekeeping Cottages which have full kitchens, living room areas and bathrooms with stand up showers. OR... stay for a weekend

or overnight trip in one of our Motel Units. Each cabin includes at least one double bed and a small bathroom with a stand up shower. They each have a small refrigerator and a microwave. We have toasters and coffee pots you can borrow. ENJOY... waking up in fresh mountain air to a day filled with swimming at our sandy, child-safe beach and dock area. Plus, take advantage of the other activities on the premises such as ping-pong, basketball, a complete children's playground and fishing. We have dock space for your boat. We also offer free internet access on the property. ALSO... the nearby area has much to offer: visit the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, tour the Blue Mountain Lake Museum, take a guided steamship cruise or a ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. Climb one of the nearby Adirondack peaks, bicycle or hike through the vast and beautiful forests, and admire the area's Wildlife. RELAX... at the end of the day on our beach, by the fireplace, watching the sun set behind Cedar Island where a new and sensational picture may be taken every night. Now for the Kentucky Cottage - 2 comfortable, but up to 3 total, 1 bedroom, kitchen and living room area and bathroom. Kentucky has new floors, a recliner and couch.

Available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night - $175 per night plus tax. Right now we have a 2 night minimum.

Next up is the Ohio Cottage - Ohio recently had an upgrade as well, with new floors and a better floorplan for space and storage. Ohio sleeps 4 with 2 bedrooms (1 double bed and 2 single beds), kitchen and living room area and bathroom.

Available Saturday, Sunday and Monday night - Normally $190 per night, plus tax but offering it at a discount of $175 per night plus tax. Right now we have a 2 night minimum.

A family had to cut their vacation short, so we have an opening in a kitchen cottage for the rest of this week! Please let me know if you are interested. The cottage has been recently updated. It has 2 bedrooms - comfortably sleeps 4, can sleep up to 6, with two bedrooms, kitchen and living room area and bathroom. Normally $200 per night, but discounted this week to $175 per night - available Wednesday and Thursday nights.

We sure have some interesting guests ... I'm not sure where they get it from... 😁😌

We received this email after a special "Mom and Daughter" weekend here at Nelson's Cottages.

"I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for your incredible hospitality. My daughter and I have faced numerous challenges in life, and rebuilding from the ground up has been incredibly difficult. As a single parent, financial constraints have always been a significant concern. This year, I decided to take a chance and booked a stay at your place because my daughter wanted a “mommy and me” trip instead of a traditional birthday party. I am so glad we chose your home for her birthday celebration. (8 years old!)

Your place exudes warmth and family-friendliness, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I felt comfortable knowing that she would be safe and at ease among your guests. The rustic charm of the cottages perfectly complemented the camping experience we cherish, while the comfort of having a roof over our heads and access to electricity alleviated the stress of our trip. (We are tent campers, so the bathroom was an added bonus!🤣) Although we didn’t use any of the boats together this time, she was thrilled to explore the little one on her own.

Vacation spots that offer a sense of safety and ease hold immense importance and significance for me. When I say thank you, it carries a profound meaning. My daughter even suggested that we return next year for a week-long stay! I believe we might even persuade some friends to join us.

We always visit the old forge/inlet area, but your home has become a tradition spot for us. I’ve always wanted to find a place we can eventually say we return to every year and this will definitely be it! I LOVED feeling at home instead of like we were just another guest in a commercial setting. Thank you so much. I’ve attached some photos from our stay! We will see you next year. ❤️"
