Nelson's Cottages Come stay at Nelson's Cottages, a family oriented and run vacation destination located in Inlet, NY. We are open from Memorial Day until Columbus Day each year.

COME... vacation at Nelson's Cottages, a family oriented vacation resort in operation since 1950. We're located on scenic Fourth Lake, within walking distance of the small Adirondack community of Inlet, located 10 miles north of Old Forge. STAY... in clean and comfortable Housekeeping Cottages which have full kitchens, living room areas and bathrooms with stand up showers. OR... stay for a weekend or overnight trip in one of our Motel Units. Each cabin includes at least one double bed and a small bathroom with a stand up shower. They each have a small refrigerator and a microwave. We have toasters and coffee pots you can borrow. ENJOY... waking up in fresh mountain air to a day filled with swimming at our sandy, child-safe beach and dock area. Plus, take advantage of the other activities on the premises such as ping-pong, basketball, a complete children's playground and fishing. We have dock space for your boat. We also offer free internet access on the property. ALSO... the nearby area has much to offer: visit the Enchanted Forest Water Safari, tour the Blue Mountain Lake Museum, take a guided steamship cruise or a ride on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. Climb one of the nearby Adirondack peaks, bicycle or hike through the vast and beautiful forests, and admire the area's Wildlife. RELAX... at the end of the day on our beach, by the fireplace, watching the sun set behind Cedar Island where a new and sensational picture may be taken every night. Julie Presents... written version. Sorry folks. I know that hearing us ramble on is the highlight of your week. (KIDDING, good lord, I'm kidding!) Anyway, 3 topics here...

1. First off, a huge thank you to Kevin Whelan and Dawn Bigtree for the amazing variety basket of goodies they left us - apples, life jackets, icees (Ken's favorite), Kit Kats (for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee), baked goods (for me again... kidding, I shared), a beautiful note, a large box of children's books and more. They also bought us dinner at the Red Dog - it was so nice to sit and chat and spend time with them. Oh yeah, the wooden box too - built by Kevin, DK Rustic Designs (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063548081780). We appreciate Kevin and Dawn, and everyone who treats us like friends and family.

2. Someone has taken the hangar game to a whole new level. The thing is like 3 inches long. What on earth people???

3. I love the note someone left us. Again, we have so much fun with our guests and appreciate all the laughs, good times, kind notes and how you treat us. It means so much.

Tommy and I rarely eat "fancy". But when we make an exception, we go all out. We treated ourselves to a dinner on the WW Durant in Raquette Lake. If you have not been on a Raquette Lake Navigation Cruise, you are missing out. There are a few cruises left for this season. I have linked the calendar below.

*Food is DELICIOUS!
*Service is TOP NOTCH!
*Tour and Views are AMAZING!

If you can't make it this year, I highly recommend you set a reminder and go in 2027! You will NOT be disappointed.
