Our first winter reservations were one of the oldest bird species still on earth. 🪶🌎

Meet the Sandhill Crane. The unofficial mascot of Preservation Point RV Resort. Fossils nearly identical to the birds strolling past your site have been dug up dating back millions of years. These guys were snowbirding in Florida long before I-75 existed.

Speaking of which: the cranes you see here year round are Florida Sandhills, but every winter they're joined by thousands of cousins flying in from Michigan, Wisconsin and Ontario to escape the cold. Sound familiar? 😉

A few things worth knowing about your future neighbors:
🪶 They mate for life and raise their chicks — called "colts" — together
🪶 That rattling bugle carries more than two miles, thanks to a windpipe that coils up like a trumpet
🪶 They dance. Bowing, wing flapping, tossing grass in the air.
🪶 They're protected in Florida — please admire, photograph, and never feed them

Start by September 1st

We're growing, and we're looking for the right couple or individual to grow with us.

Preservation Point is a 221 site luxury waterfront RV resort set on 230 acres of preserved Florida wilderness along Lake Tsala Apopka. Phase 1 is open and we're just getting started. If you've been looking for a place where you can put down roots for the season and be part of something as it takes shape, this is it.

What you'll do:
✅ Greet arriving guests and guide them to their sites
✅ Assist with backing in, hookups, and getting settled
✅ Be the friendly face of the resort — guest relations and day-to-day hospitality
✅ Handle on-site guest assistance and resolve concerns
✅ Monitor common areas and shared facilities
✅ Share local recommendations — manatees, springs, trails, and world-class bass fishing are all right here
✅ Serve as the on-site point of contact

What you won't do:
❌ Take booking calls
❌ Make reservations
❌ Handle park marketing

Compensation:
🏡 FREE site rent (an $850/month value) in exchange for approximately 15 hours per week
🔌 Big-rig friendly concrete pad with full hookups and 100-amp service
⚡ Free Electric
👫 Couples welcome — split the hours between you
📈 As revenue grows and the park expands, we'll add paid compensation on top of the free site. We want someone who stays and grows with us!

The season:
📅 October through April, with a start date on or before September 1st so you're settled in before our winter guests arrive. We'd love to find someone who wants to stay on year round and grow into a larger role.

Who we're looking for:
Friendly, dependable, and comfortable talking with people. Someone who takes pride in the place they live, and wants to help build something rather than just fill a slot. RV experience and a big-rig-friendly attitude are a plus. Whoever you are and wherever you're coming from, you're welcome here! Our guests come from all walks of life, and so do the people who take care of them.
