It is with a heavy heart that we must announce that our Brother Conrad Fisher, 32°KCCH has ascended to the Grand Lodge above as of Saturday morning September 13th. The obituary is not up yet, but we will post it when it becomes available along with any visitation, funeral, or burial arrangement details.
Please keep his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers and hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight since we never know when the Grand Architect will have us lay down our working tools and call us home.

On Tuesday, August 26, 2025, M:.W:. Brother Robert D. McClarty, 33° Elect, was visited by Illustrious Warren R. Rensner, 33°, SGIG in Kansas, and Illustrious Patrick C. Carr, 33°, at his home in Hutchinson.

During the visit our Illustrious Brothers conferred the 33° upon Brother McClarty in a private ceremony.

Ill. Bro. Rensner conferrred the ritual of the degree and Ill. Bro. Carr served as the Grand Master of Ceremonies. During the ceremony, Brother McClarty was coroneted as a 33° Scottish Rite Mason, SGIG Honorary.

Congratulations to Illustrious Brother Robert D. McClarty, 33° on his preferment, and thank you to the Illustrious Brothers who conferred the degree.

Congratulations to Illustrious Warren R. Rensner, 33° on his election as an Active Member of the Supreme Council, 33°, Southern Jurisdiction, USA, of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. The election affords Doc the honor of being our new Sovereign Grand Inspector General (SGIG) in Kansas. He was also appointed to the Strategic Planning Committee.

There are 30 SGIGs on the Supreme Council and 9 Deputies of the Supreme Council for the Southern Jurisdiction.

Congratulations to all who were elected, elevated, or appointed at the Biennial Session in Washington, D.C. earlier in the week.

Greetings Brothers,
It is once again about time for our Family Fish Fry dinner, July 9th @ 6:00 p.m. at the Kaw Valley Scottish Rite building in Lawrence. As in the past the Valley will provide the Fish and drinks.
We ask that every family bring a side dish. We would request that last names starting with:

A-J, bring deserts
K-R, bring salads
S-Z, bring vegies and other side dishes
to make sure we have a variety of wonderful food to choose from.

This is a family event, all are welcome wives, children, grandchildren and other family members. If you know a Mason who is interested in the Scottish Rite invite them as well.
This will also be the first event with our new PR of the Valley. Come say hello and lets enjoy fellowship together and with our families.

This Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 the Kaw Valley Lodge of Perfection will be having its monthly Lodge of Perfection meeting at the Kaw Valley Building in Lawrence. Dinner starts at 6 PM and will be goulash, green beans, tossed salad, garlic bread, strawberry shortcake, tea, and water. The Lodge of Perfection meeting will open around 7 PM when everything is cleaned up.

Greetings Brothers!

This upcoming Wednesday May 14th the Kaw Valley Lodge of Perfection will be having it's monthly meeting at 7:00 PM with dinner starting at 6:00 PM. Dinner will be Penne Rigate with Italian Meatballs in pasta sauce and Penne Rigate with Italian Meaballs in Alfredo Sauce, corn, tossed salad, garlice bread, and a wonderful dessert as always! Please find the previous meeting minutes and proposed budget below. We will also have a special guest that night :)

Minutes and Proposed 2025 Budget have been emailed to members.

Greetings Brothers!

Turns out the caterer can wait until tomorrow morning to get our final numbers, so the Master of Kadosh has permitted me to extend the deadline to 11 PM tonight to register for the Feast of Kadosh in Emporia so that any Brothers who may have forgotten or weren't sure of their schedules can still join us. Again, this meal is a donation meal so whether or not you donate please come join us to celebrate the humble beginnings of our Scottish Rite Heritage. I have included all the information from the previous email below with the registration link or you can call or text my cell phone which is also included below. Thanks!

This feast celebrates the founding of the Scottish Rite and we welcome any guests to join us for a barbeque dinner and small presentation on the History of Scottish Rite. After dinner the Kaw Valley Scottish Rite will be opening the Consistory in the lodge room upstairs to bring greetings to our Emporia Scottish Rite Masons.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell together in unity…”

Kaw Valley Knights of Saint Andrew met last night despite the strong storms and had a great productive meeting and even got to sing Happy Pre-Birthday to Brother Steve Gordon and enjoy some treats from his wonderful wife! Also, the Knight Commander of the KSA Bill Perkins had some surgery the past couple of days, please keep him in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy and successful recovery! Can’t keep these Knights from their duties, a great night to be a Scottish Rite Mason and even more so a Knight of Saint Andrew!!!
