Saturday & Sunday 8 AM - 8 PM is a 24 site seasonal campground on the South shore of Round Lake in Manitou Beach, MI, which is an all sports lake with good fishing. Each seasonal campsite is full hook up (electric, water and sewer), with optional cable, telephone, and comes with a dock slip to keep your boat. There is also a boat launch, basketball cou

rt, shuffleboard and WIFI. Roger and Lucretia organize many social events throughout the season and treat everyone like family. This campground is a gem of the Irish Hills.

Thank you Marlene Turbett for the beautiful one of a kind quilt made especially for Diane Gorr and family. You created a masterpiece representing all the attributes that Dan left in our memories beginning in 1998. He shared so much of himself with us all: knowledge, abilities to fix everything, tools, fish fries, elephant ears, boiled dinners, veggies from the garden, entertainment and songbooks for sing-a-longs and the best grandfather.

Thanks to Rod and Kristin , we took our first pontoon ride around Round Lake of the 2026 summer season. Construction clearing taking place on Hallenbeck Hwy. as trees and a hill were removed. Conner caught and released a couple of bluegill. A glorious beautiful sunset completed this calm 79 degree May Day.

Saturday, May 9, 2026. Maxwell and crew finished putting in the side docks as Kurt moved his lift to it’s summer location. Campers waited as the crew installed their side docks. After the wind and rain the sunset lit up the western sky as a blue heron fished for dinner, took flight.

May 8, 2026. Our first potluck for the season was a Mexican Fiesta. Kurt made the most delicious walking tacos. Authentic tamales, enchiladas, salads, bean dip, chili, cilantro/lime rice, potato salad, carrot cake, strawberry pie, apple pie and Dave’s delicious brownies completed the feast.
Kevin whacked at the piñata. Jeanelle finished it off. Kris started the sunset campfire.
