🦸‍♀️ Celebrating Our Housekeeping Heroes! 🦸‍♂️

This week at Hampton Inn, we’ve been celebrating our incredible Housekeeping team—and they truly deserve every bit of the recognition!

Monday was Superhero Day because we believe our housekeepers are superheroes without the capes! They work behind the scenes every day to make sure our guests have a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to stay.

Tuesday was “Pie Your Manager in the Face” Day! 🥧❤️ We had so much fun raising money for cancer through U.P. PINK POWER. I’m still not sure who enjoyed it more—the employees getting the chance to put a cream pie in their managers’ faces, or the managers getting to see everyone having such a great time! Either way, it was a day filled with laughter, fun, and a great cause.

Wednesday was Jersey Day, complete with a few games and plenty of team spirit! 🏈⚾🏀

Thursday was all about being comfortable, giving everyone a chance to relax a little and enjoy some fun during what has been an incredibly busy season.

I absolutely love the thought, time, and attention that goes into making Housekeeping Appreciation Week special. It comes at the perfect time as we wrap up a very busy summer, and it’s important to pause and recognize just how hard this team works.

To our Housekeeping staff: Thank you! Your dedication, hard work, and attention to detail make such a difference every single day. We appreciate each and every one of you more than you know! ❤️

Tomorrow, we’ll finish the week with a special luncheon to celebrate everyone. A huge thank you to everyone who helped plan, organize, participate, and make this week such a success. And, of course, thank you to our ownership for continuing to support and appreciate our employees. Your support means so much!

Marquette, let’s help The Rotary Club kick polio to the curb.
October 24th is World Polio Day, and there’s a lot happening right here in town.
Start the day with the World’s Largest Polio Walk at 11 AM.
Then keep it going at the Holiday Inn Marquette from 6-9 PM for Pumpkins Against Polio.
Costumes, drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and a good reason to raise a glass.

I had the honor of meeting the Kremer family during their 10-day stay with us, and what a wonderful family they are! ❤️

They truly took the time to experience so much of what our beautiful area has to offer—from the breathtaking Pictured Rocks and Lake Superior to our local History Museum, Maritime Museum, downtown, shops, restaurants, and so many of the adventures that make Marquette and the Upper Peninsula so special.

While they were getting ready to head out on another adventure, they realized they needed some heavy jackets. I told them there was no need to go buy any—I had plenty they could borrow! I was so happy to loan them the jackets, and they were even happier to have them for their Pictured Rocks boat tour.

They thanked me so many times, but then they surprised me by bringing me this beautiful plant as a thank-you. It was such a thoughtful gesture and truly meant so much to me. 🌿❤️

One of the things I love most about working in a hotel is getting to meet such wonderful people from all over and hearing about their adventures. The Kremer family was blown away by the beauty of the Hampton Inn Marquette Waterfront and everything our surrounding area has to offer.

After spending 10 days with us and seeing so much of our beautiful community, I hope we made their visit as special as they made it for us.

I truly hope we see the Kremer family again next year! It was my absolute pleasure meeting you all, and I’m so glad you enjoyed your time here. Until next time! ❤️
