If cutting the cake is something you’ve always pictured, go for it! Make it a moment, have fun with it, and enjoy the tradition. If it’s not high on your priority list, that’s okay, too! You can skip the formal cake cutting and still incorporate personal touches that feel just as meaningful to you as a couple.
And if you’re looking for ways to save money on your wedding, your cake is one area where you can get creative! Consider a small cutting cake for the photos and a less expensive dessert option for your guests, cupcakes, cookies, or even a dessert table filled with your favorites. You can still have that special moment without spending a fortune on a large, elaborate cake.
At the end of the day, your wedding budget should reflect what matters most to YOU. Spend where it counts, get creative where you can, and don’t feel pressured to include something just because it’s tradition.
