Meet the Staff: Fang 🐈‍⬛
Porch Greeter & Self-Appointed Protector.

Fang takes his big-brother duties very seriously around here...

He’s our porch greeter, resident protector, and will absolutely con you into letting him through the front door even though he knows perfectly well he has his own private entrance through the “servants’ quarters.” (aka doggy door around back)

He also enjoys joining Daffy on her evening walks, following closely behind obviously just making sure everyone gets home safely!

Collaboration over competition always ❤️

One of the best things about owning a small business is getting to work alongside other talented people who are passionate about what they do too.

We believe in doing what we do well and letting others shine at what they do well. There's room for all of us to succeed, and when we support one another, our entire community benefits ❤️

Each one of our collaborations make your stay just a little sweeter and that makes our hearts happy! Do you have a favorite Magpie collaboration?

We are so grateful for businesses like Magpie Inn! She orders strawberries from us regularly to give her guest staying with them. Could she make these herself, absolutely…have you seen her skills 😍. But instead she chooses to support not only our small business but several others as well! Thank you for supporting our community the way you do!!! . ❤️

Meet the Staff: Daffy 🐾
Head of Security & Surveillance

Daffy did not sign up for a career in hospitality. She was roped into the family business by her parents and would like that noted for the record.

She’s all talk at first, a little unsure of new people, and likes to pretend she’s not sweet but she is if you'll give her a little patience.

Her real specialty is keeping tabs on absolutely everything happening around Magpie. And don’t even think about messing with her schedule. She knows when it’s 5:00 — dinner. She knows when it’s 7:00 — walk time. Honestly, she’s about as routine as Waldo. 😂

Meet the staff: Waldo. 🐢
Guest relations, groundskeeping, and eating anything remotely green.

His customer service skills are questionable, but people seem to love him anyway. You'll have to play "Where's Waldo?" next time you visit or ask for some cucumber fries to feed him! Waldo is a hoot.

Meet the Staff: Fancy
Director of Pest Control & Outdoor Shenanigans

Don’t let the name fool you. Fancy is anything but fancy... She’s our one-eyed, bug-hunting tomboy who prefers the great outdoors, rolls around in the dirt, and is generally happiest when she’s causing some kind of trouble. Have you met Fancy?

We believe the best stays are made up of a dozen little things.

A really comfortable bed.
A good shower.
Coffee when you want it.
Breakfast you’ll still be thinking about later.
Curated instead of cookie-cutter.

That’s what we’re after here...experience... Not just somewhere to sleep, somewhere you’re genuinely glad you stayed!

It's the little things ❤️
See you soon.

It was an honor to be part of such an incredible event.

One of the best parts of staying with us is how much there is to do right here, walkable!

Grab coffee. Wander downtown. Soak in the mineral water. Shop a little. Eat something good. Explore. Come back, put your feet up, and do it all again tomorrow.

Mineral Wells makes a pretty great little getaway. And we happen to know a good place to stay. 😉
