ANNOUNCEMENT #1
Chad Filley:
North Dakota native Chad Filley is a Scandinavian storyteller, high school history teacher, and stand-up comedian who brings the past to life in a fun and meaningful way. He creates a one-of-a-kind program that shares the experiences of immigrants and their families. His presentations feel like a living time machine, taking audiences back to another era through powerful first-person stories.
Chad keeps audiences engaged with a mix of humor, history, and heart. He shares personal stories, including memorable tales about his Norwegian grandmother, Lily Filley, and performs hilarious ukulele songs, adding energy and laughter to every show.
All about the TOtS:
Too Old to Stand was founded in the spring of 2017 when a group of music-loving friends decided to enter the Amateur Night competition at the Bottineau County Fair. They took home the win, which allowed them to open for Little Texas. That was all it took to get them hooked.
Playing classic tunes that bring out smiles, memories, and plenty of dancing, Too Old to Stand celebrates the songs folks haven’t heard in far too long. The band’s members, ranging in age from 40 to 60, bring decades of experience and heart to every performance.
Since that first show, they’ve taken their feel-good sound on the road throughout Minnesota and North Dakota, lighting up stages in Bismarck, Minot, Jamestown, and beyond.
"We can’t wait to play for y’all here in Minot!! Hope you enjoy the shows and we hope you love to dance!!" -TOtS
