The 4th of July is almost here and the White Lake Area is pulling out ALL the stops to celebrate America's 250th Birthday!

🎇 Independence Day Fireworks — July 3
Kick off the Semiquincentennial with a spectacular fireworks show lighting up the sky over White Lake, presented by the White Lake Fireworks Committee. Show starts at dusk — grab your spot on the water's edge!

🥁 4th of July Parade — July 4 | 10:00 AM
Line up starts at 9:00 AM at Whitehall City Hall with the parade rolling all the way to Montague City Hall! Floats, horses, fire trucks, classic cars, community groups, and more. Join us to share this time in history together!

🎖️ Community Semi-Quincentennial Celebration @ White Lake VFW Post 3256 — All Weekend!
Presented by the White Lake Veterans Organizations, this multi-day celebration features live music, a fish fry, pulled pork dinner, a bounce house, dunk tank, kids crafts, giant slide, a bicycle poker run, and more — something for the whole family all weekend long!

🚗 Red, White & Blue Car Show @ Lewis Farms — July 4 | 3:00–6:00 PM
Show off your ride or just come admire the classics! Awards at 6:00 PM, plus family fun and fireworks.

There's a particular kind of quiet that settles over White Lake — mist sitting low on the water, a heron picking its way along the shoreline, the occasional slap of a fish breaking the surface. By midday the lake wakes up: kayak paddles dipping in rhythm, kids laughing off the end of a dock, birds circling over the channel out toward Lake Michigan.

Evenings bring their own soundtrack. Crickets start up along the Hart-Montague Trail as the light goes gold, bike tires humming over pavement, someone's porch fan creaking next door. Down at the channel, the horn from a passing boat echoes off the water just before sunset turns the whole lake pink and orange.

Whether you're a local or just passing through Montague and Whitehall, White Lake has a way of slowing you down — one ripple, one breeze, one quiet moment at a time. 🌅
