We are a lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of Colorado, mere seconds from Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. Nestled in a peaceful and serene gated enclave featuring natural and manicured gardens, the Lodge is within walking distance of many of the best attractions and restaurants the city has to offer, as well as driving distance to nearby ski areas. The private and themed cottages surround the
mansion on the property. Each non-smoking cottage captures the charm of the past with modern amenities, including indoor Jacuzzis or private outdoor hot tubs. George Morrison originally built the mansion in 1873 as his private residence. In 1895 it became The Cliff House Lodge, and it now stands as one of the oldest remaining structures in Morrison, Colorado. The National Register of Historic Places accepted most of the town as a historic district in 1976. We welcome the opportunity to give you a tour of the Cliff House Lodge and cottages, as well as viewing the art work by Keith "Scramble" Campbell. His work is displayed throughout the mansion and the Stone Street cottage, and is featured at the Visitor's Center at Red Rocks and The Blue Cow Cafe. The town of Morrison has many wonderful dining options including The Blue Cow, Red Rocks Grill, Tony Rigatoni's, Cafe Prague, Mill Street Deli, Morrison Joe's coffee, Morrison Inn, Willy's Wings, Ozzie's Coffee Shop, and TNT Country Kitchen. Come spend time in Morrison and enjoy a wide variety of activities. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater offers spectacular concerts, fine dining, hiking and historical tours at the Trading Post and Visitor Center. Hike numerous trails including Mt. Falcon and the Matthews/Winters Dakota Ridge Trails. Make the most of our many biking options including the Bear Creek Trail which will lead you into beautiful Bear Creek State Park. Enjoy Soda Lakes with a lovely beach, kayaking, water skiing and swimming available seasonally. Bear Creek State Park also has archery, horseback riding and fishing, with miles of hiking and biking trails. Catch a race at Bandimere Speedway or Thunder Valley Motocross. Explore Morrison Natural History Museum and Dinosaur Ridge. If you're looking for outdoor thrills, book a trip down Clear Creek with Geo Tours and Whitewater Rafting. Stroll through town and visit the friendly retailers at Sundance, la Boutique des Bordeaux, It's All About the Music, The Mercantile Store, Red Rocks Cyclery, Morrison Country Store, El Mercado and Morrison Liquors. The Morrison Holiday Bar offers live music, weekly card games, a vibrant atmosphere and a lively social setting. Take the time to stop in and have a Colorado brewed beer and mingle with the locals.
