The quiet nature of the famous Crow Wing Chain of Lakes provides ample opportunity for canoeists to observe the loons and eagles that nest here. The wait is over! After a stretch of sunshine and a little help from the wind, the ice is officially off Third Crow Wing Lake — and just like that, summer is on the way! ☀️🙌

Thanks to a stretch of sunshine and a little help from the wind, we’re excited to announce that as of 7:50 p.m. last evening, April 16th, the ice is officially off Third Crow Wing Lake!

🥳 Congratulations to our 2025 Ice Out Contest Winner – Tristan Sikkema!

We’re officially Day 19 into the 2025 Ice Out Contest, and things are starting to shift! Thankfully, there’s little left of last week’s 8+ inches of snow. The ice is receding steadily from in front of the resort and pulling further away from the bridge.

👷‍♂️ Dock prep is underway — we’re getting everything ready for when the ice finally makes its grand exit!
