Well, along with our Orioles that showed up today, so did this Western Tanager. Pretty neat we don’t see these every day. That’s for sure. Now under the fishing opens at midnight for Walleye and Northerns.

We had a good day yesterday and a good shout out to Karl and Corey for helping me they did awesome. One step closer to the weekend only one thing missing are the boats lol. Have a great day.

Woke up to a split in the ice today and here’s a picture of the lake making its transition. I would say we’re less than a week away from open water getting ready to start our 28th summer.

Beautiful snow today even though it’s April 8 to think we’ll be Walleye and Northern fishing on the water in a month. They’re talking maybe 60° this Sunday. Go figure coming off of almost a foot and a half of snow in the last week. Have a great spring everybody!

How know visitor today that we don’t see all the time I was hoping I could talk them into coming with a larger chunk of tallow, and they finally found it lol. At least around here, our king of the woodpeckers or queen.

It was a nice holiday. We got to take our grandbaby for a sled ride. while we were ice fishing. Both of our boys made it home from the service so we had a full house for Christmas. It was awesome. Hopefully everybody had a nice holiday season and we look forward to seeing you in a few months.

We just thought we would share one of our pine grow speaks that we see when they fly south for the winter and a few pictures of this past Fall. Just wanted to let everybody know we are in the process of posting our 2026 openings for the summer beginning on opening of Walleye and Northern fishing in May. Everyone have a merry Christmas and a happy and blessed New Year!!

Well today it started out blowing into our shore, breaking all the ice up and during the day we have progressed into this so look out we probably won’t see open water until late April or May. Ice fishing is imminent.
