Why the Checkerboard never leaves our truck☀️

A checkerboard reflector combines silver and gold to create reflected light that’s bright and naturally warm, perfect for adding consistency when working outdoors.

IN PRAISE OF SHADOWS by

The title says it all.

Sometimes creating an image isn’t about how much light you add, but about knowing what to take away.

This was such a special project for us to be part of because every frame was built around control. Controlling the direction, the spill, the contrast, and most importantly… the shadows.

⚡️ LIGHTING BREAKDOWN
• Shaped the environment outside
• Motivated light coming through the windows using an Aputure STORM 1200x bounced into a mirror board
• Subtle control inside, adding shape and atmosphere without overpowering the room
