One of the best experiences of buying Strawtown is that I get to hear the original concept and history from the woman who dreamt all it first.

Eunice Folkerts is not only a pillar of the Pella community, she’s also the most enthusiastic cheerleader and coach a girl could ask for.

I feel an immense gratitude for what she began in the 70’s and carry a sense of duty to pick up where Eunie paused and make her proud.

Eunie is also the original foodie. The renowned Strawtown became well known when she and her team were bringing it to life.

Strawtown was known across the state for an incredible menu and hosted its fair share of VIP guests.

So when she got wind that I was working to get to visit Strawtown, she called to ask how she could help because she is an ina fan girl too!

Stay tuned and see if Eunie and I can cook up a little something to get Ina on board for a visit to Iowa!

From racetrack to rested. I love hearing how excited everyone is when they see Strawtown for the first time.

We’re already 1/2 booked for next year’s Knoxville Nationals, so don’t wait. We had 6 people rebook their rooms before they left the lobby this morning!

The thought of a visit from is literally the only goal right now that can get me motivated enough to pull all these weeds and clean up this landscaping!

I want to tip toe through the tulips with her, not wander in the weeds. What should I plant here to make it perfect?!
