This is what a hostel looks like at Northwest Portland Hostel 🌲🏡✨

We’re working to change how people see hostels - less about stereotypes, more about community, comfort, and connection 💛

Five of our six buildings are historic, and we’re listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We welcome travelers from across the U.S. and the world 🌎 into a mix of private rooms and dorms.

We’re a bit like a hotel, but with a stronger focus on shared spaces and meeting others along the way. Our cafe, secret garden, courtyard, and large communal kitchen are all part of that experience.

We love collaborating with guests who are passionate about authentic travel and sharing their experiences (you don't have to be an expert!) 💛 One idea we’d especially love to explore is highlighting solo travel, affordability, and first-time hostel stays, but we’re open to other creative perspectives too 📸
