🇺🇸 4th of July Fireworks Update 🇺🇸

We wanted to let everyone know that the 2026 Rangely 4th of July Fireworks Show has been canceled.

According to the WRB Recreation & Park District, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has suspended the permit for the fireworks display at Kenney Reservoir due to current wildfire conditions and Stage 2 Fire Restrictions throughout much of western Colorado.

The good news: All of the other 4th of July festivities are still scheduled to take place as planned!

Rangely is known for some of the darkest skies in Colorado, making it the perfect place for stargazing. On clear nights, the Milky Way stretches across the sky, and every once in a while we’re even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis dancing above the horizon. ✨💚

Whether you’re chasing shooting stars, watching for the northern lights, or simply enjoying a quiet evening under the stars, there’s nothing quite like a night sky in northwest Colorado.
