You don’t have to leave downtown St. Ignace to enjoy a little fall color.

The waterfront is a good place to start. Follow the shoreline, stop by the lighthouse, or find yourself a bench with a view of Lake Huron.

We even caught a few sandhill cranes passing overhead.

A little fall in St. Ignace. 🍂 Cooler days, changing colors, the shoreline, trails, good food—and plenty of reasons to wander around a little longer. This is a pretty good time of year to be up here.

Morning traffic on the Straits. 🚢 We happened to catch the Lee A. Tregurtha passing St. Ignace Saturday morning. Built in 1942, this 826-foot Great Lakes freighter is still out there working the lakes more than 80 years later.

Not a bad view with the morning light, either.
