Before you ever turn off I-90 at Exit 364, we're already thinking about you.

Every site gets walked before a guest arrives. We're picking up debris, testing hookups, checking that everything is exactly as it should be. The bathhouses get checked. The playground gets looked over. Your pull-through gets cleared.

Some places are just a stop on the map. This one tends to feel a little different.

We've watched families pull into our campground in Salem, SD for years now. Kids who could barely reach the door handle on the first visit are now helping their parents back the rig in. That doesn't happen at a place people don't care about.

We're a family-friendly RV campground right off I-90 at Exit 364, sitting right between Sioux Falls and the Badlands. We're not the flashiest stop on the road. But we're clean, we're ready, and we genuinely love what we do.

Dear Diary,

Today the humans brought me to something called Dakota Sunsets Campground and I need to tell you: THIS IS THE BEST PLACE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

First, the car ride was long (I slept through most of it), but then we pulled off something called Exit 364 and everything changed.

The smells here. SO MANY SMELLS.

The tiny humans went to something called a playground and I watched them from our site. They were laughing and I wagged my tail because happy tiny humans = happy big humans = more treats for me.

Also, I heard the big humans say something about "pet-friendly" and "spacious sites" and "we should have brought him camping sooner." I don't know what all that means, but I agree with every word.
