We’ve been checking in on our residents in Bat Cave, Chimney Rock and Gerton this morning and throughout last night. These areas suffered flash flooding, many were evacuated and a lot of areas that were in the rebuilding phase were washed away. Roads and infrastructure are so fragile. Sending prayers up to WNC, PTSD is real and last night many felt it ♥️

Because together, we can make a difference 🫶

Exciting news! Pearson’s Falls & Glen is REOPENING in late June.

After closure and restoration work following significant road damage, the gates are nearly ready to welcome a limited number of visitors back to the trails, wildflowers, and waterfall we all love. We are so grateful for your love, support and patience!

Here’s what you NEED TO KNOW before you come see us:

Reservations REQUIRED : ALL visits must be booked in advance via the website (online ticketing coming soon.)

Admission: Due to increased operating and restoration costs, admission has increased. Adults $10 | Children 6-12 $1 | Children Under 6 FREE & no pets permitted on the Preserve.

Hours: Until local roads are repaired, admission is limited to M-F, with four ticketed entry times will available : 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, and 3:30pm

Driving Directions : Road repairs are ongoing, so check the website and social channels for updated routes before heading out.

This summer in North Carolina you can hop on a tube and float down the beautiful Lower Green River in Saluda, NC for a fun and scenic experience with Green River Adventures Tubing! The trip follows a steady mountain current through clear, green water, where you’ll pass tree-lined banks, rocky edges, and quiet spots perfect for drifting or hopping out for a quick swim. Along the way, gentle stretches let you kick back and relax, while a few Class II rapids add fun splashes and a little excitement without being too intense. You can choose a shorter 3-mile float that takes about 2 hours or a longer 4.5-mile run that lasts around 3 hours, with the bottom section bringing more of the rapids. Trips launch throughout the day, and all gear, tubes, and transportation are included. Tubing starts at $20 for ages 5+, with launches from 9:30am to 3:30pm through Green River Adventures, making it an easy, fun summer outing here in the mountains of Western North Carolina on one of the state's most beautiful and scenic rivers!
